  1. Day #7:Virginia Beach

Saying that today was uneventful, would be a complete understatement. Excluding dinner, the highlight of my day was breakfast at Burger King. That’s how “blah” the day was.

It didn’t take long to get to VA Beach, and it turned out to be a disappointment. When I think beach, I think of swimming in the ocean, sun, and most importantly, warmth. Not the case here. It was cold, windy, and there was hardly a soul anywhere to be seen. That’s not the beach seen I was hoping for.

About an hour after we arrived at the hotel, the HTV dudes, half of the junior girls, and Mrs. Lauren Thomas went over to HÄAGEN-DAZS/Blimpie to get some ice cream or a sandwich. I ended up getting a cup of what I like to call ice cream heaven. Then Michael and I, knowing that we’d be eating in less than 3 hours, bought a sandwich. Uhh, bad choice. It was good and all, but it definitely wasn’t worth the money.

After we were done there. The guys in my room came back to the hotel and chilled in our room for a little bit. In this town there was absolutely nothing going on, so we just watched some tv. I slowly but surely started dozing off, eventually leading to me falling asleep. It turned out to be one of the best naps ever.

I later woke up at about six because we were told to be ready in the lobby at 6:30 to go eat. Somehow we got the wrong information because we were supposed to be down there at seven. No biggie, Michael and I just fell back asleep, well sorta.

Then we left for dinner. I wasn’t very excited because we were going to an “All You Can Eat” seafood buffet. Nasty! And also, it cost $28. No way jose. I was not down with that. So I just decided to wait until we left and get food later. I could not have made a better decision. Why you ask? Well because everyone that decided to take on the buffet, got a bill that said anywhere from $36 all the way to $40. I was so excited I didn’t eat that food. I don’t even like seafood.

I did have a lot of fun at the table though. Everyone was acting crazy, and there were cameras everywhere. Which made for an interesting night.

Finally we returned to the hotel, and then Kelton, who also didn’t eat that expensive junk, and I went to get our own food. We ended up finding some chinese food joint. It was pretty good, for me at least. Kelton wasn’t as lucky. He decided to get cashew chicken. In springfield that’s a very good thing, but here in VA, not so much. It was pretty gross. Then we came back and went to bed. Stay tuned for more.
