The day started with us leaving Cleveland and boy did I love that city. Our hotel was so close to the Quicken Loans Arena. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s where the king, LeBron James, plays basketball. Ahh… but enough of that.
The bus ride to New Jersey was long, but it was also entertaining. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Pennsylvania as much as I did because the thought of it just seemed boring. It wasn’t though. The geography was pretty interesting. It was very wide open, and it had a lot of grass mountains( I guess you can call them that). Then we stopped at this little lunch nook called the Dutch Pantry. It was pretty good. After we ate, we got back on the road. There we were surrounded with possibilities of watching endless NCAA tourney basketball games, but we don’t get local channels on the bus, so I missed the Mizzou game. It’s no biggie. They won, but no one was surprised.
Finally after many hours of driving, we made it to New Jersey. Normally that wouldn’t be too significant, but this time it was. It meant we would soon be just miles from New York City! The excitement was building on the bus. Only an hour from our arrival at the hotel, we left to go to Manhattan. Sounds awesome huh? Eh not really. Once we got to the train station, Coach gave us some bad news. The train was leaving in a minute. I was pretty disappointed, but not nearly as bad as the girls on the bus. So I knew I didn’t have it that bad. We then came back to the hotel and eventually ordered some chinese food. That ended up taking longer than it should have… After that, some of the HTV staff members and I got the chance to announce the middle school winners at the STN convention.
Michael, Kelton, and I finished off our night in a good ole game of 21. Well michael and I did the playing, Kelton did the filming. We did that for a while, and then came back to our room. And that leads me to where I am now. Typing this blog. I know it’s not too great, but stay tuned!
