Pet Peeves...
Everyone has them, and I for one am no different. But mine are a little more nick nacky than the typical nail biting, pen clicking, or foot tapping cases. To be honest, I don’t even have that many compared to the usual individual’s list, but it doesn’t take away from the magnitude of how deep they get under my skin. Numero Uno on my list: the overuse of the phrase...

It's Not Like It Used To Be
I wish I could go back to the days when I had my mind set on what I wanted to be for my career. Granted I was 10 and I wanted to be the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers, but at least my mind was made up, there wasn’t any indecision. Now I’m near the end of my free education experience, and I have no standout idea for what I’d like to do. I have plenty of ideas, but...

I Am So Over...
the Twilight craze. It has seriously become insane. I understand people enjoy the books, movies, fan sites, etc. But it’s been over a year now since the first of four motion pictures, Twilight, was released, and people are still freaking out about it. I think it’s slowly, but surely, getting to the Harry Potter status, which in record sales talk would be considered double platinum....

Day #10:Nashville
Back in September I came to Nashville for the first time, and I loved the city. So being that I got the chance to come back for a second time, I was ecstatic. I don’t even like country music that much, but something about the city just intrigues me. Whether it be the joyous spirits of every musician on each street corner, the abundance of people packing in to each bar to listen to what band...

Day #8:Charlotte, NC
North Carolina was so much better than VA Beach, but that’s not saying much. Our day in NASCAR Nation started off at where else? Lowes Motor Speedway. Seriously? Like come on. I’m definitely not a NASCAR dude, and I let it be known every chance I get. But I have to admit, this little tour we took of the track was pretty interesting. I’m not going to lie, I think I enjoyed it a...

Day #7:Virginia Beach
Saying that today was uneventful, would be a complete understatement. Excluding dinner, the highlight of my day was breakfast at Burger King. That’s how “blah” the day was. It didn’t take long to get to VA Beach, and it turned out to be a disappointment. When I think beach, I think of swimming in the ocean, sun, and most importantly, warmth. Not the case here. It was cold,...

Day #6:Washington D.C. Part 2
When the first two stops on your bus trip are Chicago and New York City, you’re going to wear yourself out. At least that’s what the case was on this bus. As cool as D.C. is, I was almost too tired to even get up and go. But I had a story to shoot, and it’s a once in a lifetime experience, so I pretty much had no choice but to go. We started the day at the Newseum. What’s that you ask? It’s a...

Day #5:Washington D.C. Part 1
I promise this won’t be as long as my last blog. Goodbye New York, hello Nation’s Capital. It was pretty sad to be leaving the big apple, but knowing I would be in Obama nation in less than five hours, made it a lot easier. I’ve started to admire the time on the bus, because that’s where a lot of the fun happens. And we only have 5 days left. It’s extremely sad, but I’m going to...

Day #4:New York City
Honestly, I don’t even know where to start this blog. So I’ll just be logical and start from the beginning of my day. My first morning in New Jersey started off by waking up at 9:28. Now I realize that that doesn’t sound significant at all. The thing about it is, we were supposed to be on the bus, ready to go at 9:30. Boy did Kelton, Michael, and I freak out. But we ended up making it just in time...

Day #3:Pennsylvania/Jersey
The day started with us leaving Cleveland and boy did I love that city. Our hotel was so close to the Quicken Loans Arena. For those of you that don’t know what that is, it’s where the king, LeBron James, plays basketball. Ahh… but enough of that. The bus ride to New Jersey was long, but it was also entertaining. I didn’t think I’d enjoy Pennsylvania as much as I...

Day #2: Chicago
Ahhh… It doesn’t get much better than waking up in a downtown Chicago hotel. After I woke up, Michael, Kelton, and I went down to eat breakfast. It wasn’t anything special, but it was free! It was our day to film a story and we did. We didn’t have to go far to film it, because we did a story on our Doorman, Bellhop, Bellman, or whatever else you want to call him, Steve. He...

Day #1: The Traveling
The first day hasn’t consisted of much action other than taking off on our journey. So far the bus ride hasn’t been the most fun, but it hasn’t been a drag either. Something that makes it a lot more enjoyable, is this here laptop that I am typing this blog on (thanks apple!). It also doesn’t hurt that I am sharing the experience with my friends. But back on topic, we are on...
